Mother bird leaving but not gone

My boss has accepted a promotion, one she GREATLY deserves. She will be leaving 1st shift admissions to excel in her new position. She will be leaving but won't be gone. It is hard to explain, maybe I haven't completely digested it, but this is her last week in her current role. I am happy for her so I can't find anything negative to say, EXCEPT it will be different walking in and not finding her arriving or sitting at her desk. I am thankful for email, text and FB, ways we will remain close no matter what.
