Farm life

A patient arrived today in the ER after being kicked in the stomach by a horse.  This sounds painful but I grew up on a farm, I have ACTUALLY been kicked not only by a horse but also by calves.  I have been chased by roosters, flocked by geese and bitten by barn cats.  I have been thrown from the ATV, missed a curve and drove off the road and took my car head on into a tree at 35 mph.  I think growing up on a farm is not only an experience but also has some higher power that watches over as you trek through all the crazy things that happen.
